New Fashion Line Changes the Face of Resort Shopping
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 9, 2007 -- With the launch of her first-ever collection, creator Valerie McMurray addresses the real needs of women just like her. She loves to travel, she loves to be swept off her feet and she loves to explore new places- in luxury. This collection was born out of the idea of a city girl being swept off to Le Grande-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat for a romantic getaway by her lovely beau- without a moments notice.
Our girl ends up on the Riviera with only her Yves Saint Laurent trousers and Chloe boots that she wore on the airplane, with nary a sundress or caftan in sight. Lovely beau forgot to pack them. Stranded in paradise with no beach wardrobe and no shopping mecca nearby. What is a stylish, sophisticated girl to do? Why, check out the boutique in the hotel, of course? Well, once she gets there she is faced with the kind of beach attire that doesn't quite reflect her chic city style. Ms. McMurray has found that the findings in most luxury resort boutiques were not on-par with their clientele's fashion sense, nor their chic resort environments. Enter MerSoleil- a collection of sophisticated tunics, caftans and breezy dresses for every beach holiday.
The entire collection is made in New York City of 100% cotton from Italy. All pieces are hand-washable for easy care and no-fuss luxury. The silhouettes are where clean lines and sweet bohemia meet. Most pieces are available in bold prints and tasteful solids -- both beach chic. The line evokes Talitha Getty on the rooftops of Marrakech or Uma Thurman on a weekend jaunt to Provence.
MerSoleil will be landing in resort boutiques in St. Barth's, Virgin Gorda, Turks & Caicos, Antigua, Los Cabos, Mexico and Miami Beach in November 2007. It will be available in other luxury boutiques and specialty stores worldwide for Spring/Summer 2008.
