FIDM Announces Date for Annual Fashion Show & Gala Event - Debut 2008 Will Be Held February 28th

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 16, 2008 -- The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (http://www.fidm.com), a coeducational, specialized, private college dedicated to educating students for the Fashion, Graphics, Interior Design and Entertainment industries, announced today the date for their annual fashion show and gala event that spotlights the designs of graduates. Debut 2008 will be held February 28th, 2008 at 5:30pm.

"Debut is one of the biggest events of the year for the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, said Denice Cantu, FIDM's Promotions Manager. It gives amazing, talented individuals the opportunity to showcase their ideas, all of them original and many of them groundbreaking. We encourage everyone, educators and new students in particular, to attend the show."

Debut 2008 will feature designs by the college's Fashion Design and Theatre Costume Design Advanced Study Programs, as well as work from the Interior Design and Textile Design Students. As a highlight, Theatre Costume Design students will construct a costume based on a previously-selected theme.

In past years, the show has welcomed hundreds of industry leaders and supporters of the FIDM Scholarship Foundation in addition to students and educators. To meet the growing demand for tickets, three special shows have been scheduled for high school students and graduates - one for those who are not attending FIDM, another for those who have visited FIDM Los Angeles, and yet another for those have not visited FIDM Los Angeles. For more information regarding special show times or other information, guests can email inquiry@fidm.edu. Guests should RSVP by February 10th as space is limited.
